Were the people clamouring for an Anaconda remake? No. Certainly not. What about meta spoof where an A-list cast of comedians are the ones doing the remaking? Getting warmer? Luke warm, perhaps?
Unfortunately this comedy is exactly that. There's no biting satire of Hollywood, no piss taken out of soulless executives defanging art in the name of capitalism. Rather, Anaconda is a tepid comedy with a memorable bit or two and not much else.
But the premise does have potential! Join us as we get much more meta with Anaconda and it's potential as a satire.
